South Suffolk Show 2011 It was a beautiful sunny day and I just knew that I must go and say ‘hello’ to my piggy friends on the East Anglian showing scene, so off I set, but it did feel very strange parking in the public car park and not in with all the livestock vehicles. However, it was lovely to see everyone and and an excellent day for Marilyn Keymer who comes from near Wisbech, Cambs and is fairly new to showing. She had brought her Berkshire sow Fieldbarn Louise 24 along, and was delighted to win firstly the Middle White/Berkshire sow class, and then she continued to win three silver cups for Best Coloured Pig, Best Minority Pig and overall Show champion. The judge was wellknown Welsh breeder Peter Reeder from Norfolk. This is one of the nicest one day shows around and a good way to start showing, everything is very relaxed and friendly, and it would be great to see more Berkshire breeders next year. Many congratulations Marilyn.
