English Winter Fair

This was held at The County Showground, Stafford. on 21* and 22"d November 2009. lt incorporates one of the main Prime Stock Shows in the country and also includes a thriving Fair and Machinery Exhibition. In the pig section there were seventeen pairs of pigs in the show and a sow and litter on exhibition.

On the Sunday morning, a competition for young people was held. This was very successful and fourteen young people took part, seven in the under 12yrs and and seven in the over. It was sponsored by Carrs Billingtoni with £60 prize money available for each section. The sponsors of this competition are keen to sponsor this again next year so hopefully if we can get the Youth Group running a little better we will have a very good competition.

Thanks must go to Rachael Wyllie who gave up a lot of her time to give all the competitors a talk then judged the competition. Also to Peter Brier the Judge for the pig section, and to Chris Hamilton from Carrs Billington for sponsoring.
